Caring Model Frequently Asked Questions
THERE ARE 7 MILLION AMERICAN CHILDREN, AGES 4 TO 17 HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ADHD. (Source: CDC & NIH)
The treatment costs of ADHD and the personal and societal costs can be significant. Researchers estimate that in the United States that over $43 billion is the combined annual cost for the following:
Health care for persons with ADHD specifically related to the diagnosis
Health care for family members of persons with ADHD specifically related to their family member’s diagnosis.
Improving the health of individuals with ADHD could result in substantial financial savings to families and society, potentially reducing this financial burden.
ACCORDING TO HEALTH PLACE RESEARCH, THOSE WITH ADHD HAVE A 30% HIGHER RISK OF ATTEMPTING SUICIDE OR DYING BY SUICIDE.
There are a number of reasons for this, including high comorbidity (when multiple conditions exist in the same person) with other disorders, such as depression or anxiety.
Those with ADHD who are most likely to die by suicide also suffer from other conditions, like borderline personality disorder or bipolar disorder. As mentioned, ADHD often occurs with other mental conditions that can make life difficult. However, one study showed that even ADHDers who didn’t have another diagnosis were a higher suicide risk than the general population.
HERE ARE A FEW OTHER REASONS WHY PEOPLE WITH ADHD MIGHT BE DEPRESSED & EVEN SUICIDAL:
Our foundation plans to provide funding to assist children & teenagers across the ADHD continuum.

Anthony’s Way: A Road to Kindness Holistic Model
To help us build our Holistic model, we studied and integrated insights from prevailing research in various disciplines, including coaching, exercise, positive psychology, self-development, academics, mindfulness, medication compliance and misuse, and more.
We are now in the process of identifying a hypothesis, methodology, and budget for a pilot study to investigate the potential desired outcomes of applying the entire holistic model to children aged 6-18 years old.
Attached are some of the research studies that guided us. Please reach out to us if you have questions or would like to see additional studies.
